The Digital Health Interoperability Network (DHIN) is delighted to announce a strategic partnership with the Standards Organization of Nigeria (SON) to advance health interoperability and strengthen Nigeria’s digital health ecosystem. This collaboration marks a significant milestone in our mission to drive seamless data exchange, improve healthcare delivery, and create a more connected and equitable health system in Nigeria.
A Shared Vision for Interoperability
Both DHIN and SON recognize the critical need to address challenges posed by fragmented health systems and data silos in Nigeria. This partnership focuses on aligning healthcare systems with globally recognized standards such as FHIR, SNOMED-CT, ICD-11, and LOINC while contextualizing them for local adoption.
By uniting expertise, SON and DHIN aim to:

Committee Appointments: DHIN conveners have been appointed to lead various SON committees, including the National Technical Committee on Medical Devices, further emphasizing our commitment to shaping the future of healthcare through standardization.
